The main reason I go to bloggers’ “About” section is to find out why they chose their blog title, so that’s what I’m going to tell you here. First, though, you need to do a few things:
- Go to YouTube
- Search “Jesus Culture You Won’t Relent” (just like that)
- Click on the video that shows a still-shot of Kim Walker-Smith passionately jamming in a pink shirt. Yes, I know the video is 13 minutes and 33 seconds. Listen to it anyway. (All great worship songs are at least 7 minutes or longer.)
- Recompose yourself because I know you were clearly blown away.
Alright. That is what I would label my “salvation song.” I don’t know if that is an actual thing. I just made it up. (I claim copyright privileges! Just kidding.) What I mean is that God used that song, and continues to use that song, to draw me to Him.
I am aware that when you started reading this, you did not make a commitment to read a post where I pour my heart out in 5,000 words, so I will save the specific examples for an actual blog post. (You’re welcome!) You can, however, look for this theme of God’s relentlessness to appear all throughout my posts, Lord willing. The Jesus Culture song says, “You won’t relent until You have it all / My heart is Yours.” The basis is that God will not stop pursuing the hearts of His children. Period.
And that’s what this blog is about: my discovery of how He will never relent.
