A few weeks ago I wrote an update that traced God’s hand in calling me to be a missionary, but I didn’t reveal where He is calling me next… until now!

During my quiet time with God this summer, He began stirring in my heart a song called Cries of the Nations by Kari Jobe and Rick Pino. The lyrics that kept standing out were the ones in my journal entry pictured above, which read, “I hear the cries of the nations to know You, sweet Jesus.” These lyrics sum up my heart’s burden: to GO and respond to the cries of the nations, and more specifically, nations with unreached people groups. I want to take the Good News to those who have not yet heard. I long to be God’s special messenger. I yearn to bring God’s glory to unreached nations so His glory will cover the earth. I desire to take His gospel of hope and love to His lost sheep. My heart cries, “Here am I; send me!” (Isaiah 6:8).

So God is sending me. Hallelujah. 

After I learn.

For this next season, He is sending me to a DTS (Discipleship Training School) at YWAM Kauai. What this means is that on September 7 I will by flying to Kauai, Hawaii for 12 weeks of instruction, followed by an international mission trip to Nepal where I will apply all that was learned during the lecture phase. Classes begin September 12 and graduation is March 3. 

In His infinite goodness, God has provided for me to buy my plane ticket to Kauai and send in my deposit. After this, I will be trusting God to show that He is Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord my provider! I can’t wait to see how He magnifies His name and comes through faithfully, demonstrating Matthew 6:33.

I will be in Louisiana from August 26 until the day of my departure, September 7. Within this small frame I will be sharing with four churches, selling my car, moving out of my house, and driving around to say goodbye to everyone and fill them in on all that the Lord has done this summer! If you’d like to hang out before I leave for the next six months, let me know! 

Specific Prayer Requests

If you have been lifting me up in prayer, know that you are so greatly appreciated. I can feel your prayers, and God is using them in big ways. A few specific ways you can continue to support me in prayer are:

• Pray for the Lord to provide the right people to “send” so I can obey and “go”
• Pray for the Lord to provide favor in selling my car
• Pray for safety and smoothness in my future travels

God has overwhelmed me by providing for my practical needs in preparing for this trip (hiking backpack, hiking shoes, etc.), and my heart is so grateful. God is faithful; He takes care of me like the amazingly good Father that He is. 

Lastly, over the next few weeks I will be typing up testimonies from my time in NYC and Brazil this summer. God showed up and showed out and I’m bursting at the seams to share about all that He has done. He is so worthy of praise, and I’m thrilled to follow Him as He guides me towards this next leap of faith! 🙌🏻❤️
